There are few things better than a bowl of delicious, vanilla ice cream – Cool, creamy and indulgent – to me, it’s one of the best things in the world and this recipe makes it super simple to make it at home. You don’t have to own an ice cream maker to make your own freezer friendly, delicious ice cream. This no-churn vanilla ice cream recipe makes ice cream that’s creamy, delicious, and hassle free.
No Churn Ice CreamVs Ice Cream Maker
An ice cream maker works by slowly stirring (churning) a mixture (usually made up of cream, egg yolks and sugar) as it freezes which adds air into the mixture so it freezes scoopable rather than forming a solid block. In this recipe, the cream and condensed milk are whipped together, trapping the air before freezing, cutting out the need for churning.
Step By Step Instructions
Add the condensed milk to a food processor or mixing bowl. You’ll also need a freezer-safe container as standard plastic containers can crack or break when stored in the freezer. When in doubt, you can use a freezer bag or metal loaf pan covered with plastic wrap. Add cold whipping cream. Add the vanilla bean paste and powdered milk. Whip on high speed until the mixture thickens. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze until firm, at least 6 hours. Serve and enjoy!
