Easy Chicken Wing Recipe
These chicken wings are absolutely delicious! They’re crispy, sticky sweet, and sour. Best of all – they’re a cinch to make! You just marinate and cook. They’re perfect for anything from a party appetizer or to serve as a main meal.
Add the chicken wings and coat in the marinade. Cover with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for 1-8 hours.
Remove the wings and leave behind as much marinade as possible (it’s going to be our sauce).
In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the reserved marinade to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer until thickened.
How To Make Chicken Wings
Oven Baked Chicken Wings
Pat dry the wings before cooking to allow them to crisp up. Bake on a sheet pan for 30 minutes (for extra crispy wings, place a wire rack in the baking sheet and cook the wings on the rack) then turn wings over and cook the other side for another 20 minutes. Turn the oven to broil. Brush sauce over wings and broil until caramelized, and the internal temperature of the wings reads 165°F.
Grilled Chicken Wings
Preheat a gas grill to medium heat (about 350°F). Place the wings on the grill and cook flipping the wings every 5 minutes, for a total of 20 minutes of cooking. Brush the sauce onto the wings and grill until the skins crisp, 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reads 165°F.
Air Fried Chicken Wings
For crisp wings, dry them before starting.
Spray the basket or rack with cooking spray place the wings in the fryer basket or rack, so they are not touching. Set the air fryer to 360°F and cook for 15 minutes.
Then flip the wings with tongs, brush with the sauce, and cook for 15 minutes more or until the outsides are extra-crispy, and the internal temperature reads 165°F.
