I love quick and nutritious snacks, like my Protein Shake or Cinnamon Roll Protein Shake, so I designed this refreshing shake to be both delicious and protein-packed. This shake delivers over 28 grams of protein per serving, making it a perfect post-workout drink or a quick breakfast option. The natural sweetness of bananas and strawberries blends beautifully with the creamy texture, creating a sweet and healthy treat that you can whip up in no time.
Ingredients and Substitutions
You need 4 base ingredients to make this shake, but you can add some delicious additions to make it sweeter or higher in protein.
Vanilla Protein Powder – I use NuZest or MacroMike protein powder which are respectively made with peas and peanuts or almonds. Frozen Strawberries – I prefer frozen strawberries over fresh ones, because it avoids having to add ice cubes that dilute the flavor. Frozen Banana – Similarly, go for frozen bananas over fresh to not have to add ice cubes. Plant-Based Milk – You can use any plant-based milk. Almond milk has the most neutral taste, but soy milk brings the most protein. Hemp Seeds – This healthy ingredient brings a lot of natural protein and not flavor at all. Maple Syrup -If you need to sweeten the shake, you can add maple syrup or any other natural liquid sweetener, like coconut nectar or agave syrup.
